Linking your concerns to projects where you live

Dani Hains, Julia Petropoulos and Katrina Barter wanted to do something for Youth and Education projects within 10 minutes' walk of their homes in W11.

With 8 friends and neighbours they formed the Grove Trust through which £55,000 was raised. This was then matched pound for pound, making a staggering £110,000 donated to the Foundation.

We helped Grove's members to identify 17 potential charities. After discussion, this was reduced to a shortlist of 10, which were visited and researched further. With difficulty, they chose 4 between which the funds were divided, in each case making a significant difference to their work and to the lives of young people in the Ladbroke Grove area.
