The Kensington and Chelsea Foundation was registered as a charity in September 2008. It was initially called FOCUS K&C.

As of May 2013 the Foundation had raised over £1.4 million, enabling it to make 120 grants to 48 local charities. In addition, our Endowment Funds have grown to £125,000.

The Foundation has been successful in adding leverage to donor's gifts with £110,000 in matched funds being secured to enhance their impact.

In May 2009, the charity was chosen in its first year as Charity of the Year by the Mayor of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.
